Katrina Task Force Research Bulletins
In order to promote educated policy-making and better disaster preparedness, the SSRC’s Katrina Task Force has initiated the “Research Bulletins Project.” Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and launched in June 2009, the Research Bulletins Project summarizes and disseminates the findings and policy suggestions of leading researchers into the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and other natural disasters. Received by hundreds of emergency professionals and disaster researchers, the Katrina Task Force’s Research Bulletins are produced bi-weekly and transmitted via email.
