Privacy Policy
Materials on the Hub are free to read and view for all visitors, without logging in. Creating an account allows you to do more: apply for grants, maintain your profile and contact information, add to or edit other resources on the site, and in general take greater advantage of Hub services.
Providing Visitors with Anonymous Access
You can access the Media Research Hub and most of its materials and services without disclosing your personal data. For some services on the site—namely those that involve writing information to the site—visitors must establish personal accounts and log in prior to use.
Automatic Collection of Information
We offer visitors cookies to simplify future login. The use of these cookies is voluntary. We also collect general web metrics (sessions, downloads, etc.) in order to improve site services. We do not associate this session data with individually-identifiable profiles.
Data Collection: The Resource Database
Our resource database and other data services are built from personal data that you may volunteer while using our services. We may also collect information about you from other publicly-available sources, such as your personal home page or associated institutional website. Data entries for individuals may be created through this process, and will include name, institutional affiliation, authored articles or other citations, and other publicly available information. If an entry has been created for you, you will receive an email notification enabling you to claim your profile, add or edit information, and make your contact details public.
We will not make your contact information public in these profiles without your consent.
Disclosure and Visitor Choice
We do not disclose your personal data to other organizations, unless obliged by law and after receiving a subpoena or court order.
Confidentiality / Security
We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. All our employees and data processors, who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors' personal data.
We ensure that your personal data will not be disclosed to State institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.
Access to the personal data we may hold about you
All personal data we keep about you will be available to you within your profile. We will not systematically keep track of any other personal data about you.
